Suan Lahu offers a program that can be adapted to your time and interests. Are you curious and would like to try yourself at something new? There are diverse things to observe. Start by filling your flask with delicious spring water, before hiking out onto unknown paths.

Suan Lahu’s SHORT VISIT program introduces you to our eco-project and its organic products, which you may taste and also buy. Sign up for a farm tour, a guided hike, or a visit to nearby highland community, in order to garnish your visit.

The HALF DAY TOUR program comprises of outdoor activities and a healthy veggie lunch served at the Farm Kitchen. Welcome to relax at Suan Lahu Coffee Shop, where you can taste a cup of our freshly roasted coffee and you may purchase our organic coffee, tea, cinnamon, seasonal fruits, as well as Lahu handicrafts.

Our DAY TOUR provides for more if longer activities to do, plus our yummy veggie lunch and an afternoon fruit snack with coffee/tea. Time to take an organic cooking, coffee or bamboo workshop so as to add a new skill to your life.

Stay for the night to enjoy more of everything, inclusive of dinner and breakfast meals prepared by your Suan Lahu hosts. The OVERNIGHT STAY comprises simple if cozy accommodation in the farmhouse, which has hot-water shower, internet connection, and a gorgeous balcony overviewing our valley and village community.

Would you like to see, do, or learn more? No problem – our 2 DAYS/1 NIGHT program comprises further activities, including a hike to a splendid waterfall. Enjoy the legendary nature lunch we will prepare and serve right next to the water.

Suan Lahu also offers extra activities that require previous booking. Some of these services, such as traditional campfire and moonlight hikes, are available only in the cool season (Nov- Jan). Others, incl. nature lunch and steam bath sessions, are offered only to groups of min. 3 people or to those staying for 2 nights.  

NOTE: Reserve your spot by paying 50% of the booking fee (children aged 5-12 pay half price) to Suan Lahu’s bank account. The remainder is paid in cash before you leave.

Let us know of you request for a half-day workshop or an additional activity; both are available at THB 200/ person.

Transport to/from the farm: You have the choice to drive yourself, hire a driver to take you to the village or take public transport to Maekhacharn Hotsprings. Villagers charge THB 300 per trip from/to the Hotsprings. Inform us if you need transfer services.

SHORT VISIT (up to 3 hours) at 300 Baht/person 

9:30 am  Arrival at Suan Lahu farm, reception by your local hosts. Enjoy the view and a cup of organic coffee or tea.

10:00-11:00    Introduction to Suan Lahu organic project followed by farm tour. Witness the production and processing of coffee, tea, and fruits. Observe seasonal harvest (during November to February) and more. 

11:00-12:00    Visit our highland community to get a glimpse of indigenous Lahu culture. Visit the traditional dancing ground before you depart from the farm.

09:30     Arrival at Suan Lahu farm and reception by your hosts from nearby village. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.

10:00-12:00   Introduction to organic agriculture followed by farm tour. Witness production and processing of coffee, tea, and fruits. Engage hands-on activity in the forest garden, try seasonal coffee picking, planting, grading, etc.

12:00-13:00   Homemade Vegetarian Lunch

13:00-13:45   Hike over to our highland village. Visit the traditional dancing ground and/or local family home. Gain insights into Lahu community life, followed by Departure

DAY TOUR (6-7 hours) at 1,000 Baht/person

09:30        Arrival at Suan Lahu farm and reception by your hosts from the local highland village. Settle in to relax.

10:15-11:45    Introduction to organic project followed by farm tour witnessing the production of coffee, tea, cocoa, and spices. Hands-on activity in the forest garden, engage seasonal coffee picking, planting, grading, among others.

12:00-13:00    Homemade Vegetarian Lunch

13:00-14:30    Introduction to traditional community culture, followed by hike to indigenous highland village and its dancing ground. Visit a Lahu family home and enjoy chatting over a cup of tea.

14:30-15:45     Return to the farm to relax, observe and engage in further activities. Pick either forest hiking, bamboo crafting, coffee roasting, before enjoying some snacks of local fruit, tea/coffee, followed by Departure.

14:30-15:30 Time to observe/engage coffee processing. Roast your own Arabica!

15:30-16:00 Fruit or rice snack with tea/coffee

16-00-17:00 Tailored Activities, such as coffee roasting, bamboo workshops, etc.

17:30-18:30 Dinner and lodging at the farm

The program offers deeper insights about coffee production, coffee workshops run on either day 1 or day 2. Experience indigenous skills and craftsmanship, try bamboo weaving! We can also help you organize your own workshop, if you are interested.
